WHAT WE BELIEVE

We are committed to the teachings of the Bible. We believe the Bible to be totally trustworthy and make it our ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe in the Triune God. Our God is a Heavenly Father, who created us and loves us; a Son who took our human nature upon Himself to save us from our sinful rebellion; and a Holy Spirit who changes our hearts and minds to embrace the Biblical truths about our need and God's mercy.

We believe in the church of Jesus Christ as composed of genuine believers, together with their children. This church is universal. It crosses economic, social, and ethnic boundaries as it unites believers with each other because they share a common union with God through Christ. Local churches are to be a microcosm of this universal church as far as the Providence of God allows.

The head of the Church is Jesus Christ. He is building His church as he gives gifts to each Christian which they are to use in their local churches. Our church will be healthy in direct proportion to the way its members use their gifts to honor God and serve each other.

The pastor, elders, and deacons in this church are committed to the Reformed interpretation of the Bible as it is expressed in The Westminster Confession of Faith and its Shorter and Larger Catechisms.
